At SPF Private Clients, we believe that a thriving education system is at the heart of a prosperous community. That’s why, this October, we were thrilled to continue our long-standing support of The Guernsey Institute by sponsoring their annual Higher Education Celebration & Awards Event, held on Monday, 21 October.

The Guernsey Institute aims to be a dynamic and inclusive centre of excellence for technical, vocational, and professional learning. With a curriculum spanning from apprenticeships to master’s degrees, accredited business courses to adult evening classes, the Institute provides opportunities for all islanders to pursue further and higher education. This dedication to offering varied learning pathways helps meet the diverse needs of the Bailiwick, empowering individuals with skills that will last a lifetime.

For over seven years, SPF Private Clients has proudly sponsored the Institute’s annual awards event, which recognises students who have achieved qualifications at Level 4 or above. The ceremony is a celebration of not just academic achievement, but also of resilience and dedication. Many of the graduates balance their studies with professional and personal commitments, making their accomplishments even more inspiring.

The event was opened by The Guernsey Institute’s Principal, Dr. Louise Misselke, who warmly welcomed attendees and congratulated the students on their hard-earned achievements. Dr. Misselke then introduced the keynote speaker, the Bailiff of Guernsey, Sir Richard McMahon, who delivered a heartfelt address on the importance of continuous learning and contributing to the community. Sir Richard presented the certificates, marking a significant milestone for each student.

For us at SPF Private Clients, supporting this event is a way to invest in the future of our community. We believe that education is a lifelong journey and that opportunities like those offered by The Guernsey Institute help individuals grow, thrive, and make meaningful contributions to our society.

We extend our congratulations to all the students for their achievements and wish them every success in their future endeavours. It was a pleasure to be part of such a special event and to witness firsthand the positive impact The Guernsey Institute continues to make on the lives of so many islanders.
